The Vision of First Pentecostal Church is to be a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, mission-shaped community that loves God completely (Upward), ourselves correctly (Inward), and our neighbors compassionately (Outward).
The vision of FPC is birthed out of the very heart of Jesus. First, the Great Commission: “18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).
Second, the Great Commandment: “37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:37-40).
In FPC’s vision, “Multi-ethnic, Multi-generational, mission-shaped community” is from the Great Commission and “Love God completely (Upward), Love ourselves correctly (Inward), and our neighbors compassionately (Outward)” is from the Great Commandment.
The Mission of First Pentecostal Church is to be a committed body of believers encouraged to know Christ in Membership, grow in Christ toward Maturity, serve Christ in Ministry and share Christ in Mission.
This is represented in the following diagram.
